Our Carrier is Pregnant- 1 Month

We had dinner with Jessica, her husband, and her boys at their house last weekend. Jessica took a pregnancy test on the 25th, 26th, and 27th. It had only been a week since the transfer, but all three were positive! She surprised us with this test the morning of the 26th letting us know that our dinner would be a celebratory one.
Today Jessica had her beta and it was 186. Woot woot!
1 month down.

  35. I just stumbled upon your blog as I was looking for a quote for my best friend & the 10th anniversary of when she lost her precious son at 8 months from Hydroencephalitis.
We were both pregnant at the same time the first go round - me having a boy and her having a girl. Of course, they would be married and live happily ever after, lol. Both were born without problems.
Then, two years later, we both were pregnant at the same time again. Me with a girl this time and her with a boy this time. They, too, we thought, would be married and live happily ever after...lol.
Then I got the call and she said "my ultrasound showed Nick's head is measuring ahead of his gestation". Well, she is 5 ft - her husband is 6'3" - of course this baby is going to be big! Not the case. They sent her for tests in Orlando, FL three days later and when they got there, he had no heartbeat. My lifelong best friend, gave birth and held her sweet baby just like you. It was so hard still being pregnant and convincing my OB to measure MY babies head - again - and again - and again and to talk to her about everything under the sun except me still being pregnant.
My heart broke for you and I wept while reading your sweet memories of both of your babies. I do not know you - but we do share the unshakeable bond of motherhood. When your friends sent you flowers and said "you are the best mother I know", I would have to agree. You have had to face the worst fears and hardest decisions a mother ever has to and for that, I tip my hat to you - a great mommy.
I will be following your blog now and cannot wait to see the progression of the surrogate. Please know as well, that I - a total stranger - WILL be praying for you - a total stranger, because that is what Moms do :) Good luck in your journey!!!
