From that moment all I could think about was if this show was really going to have her have a stillborn baby or have her baby die shortly after birth? I saw the previews for the next episode and it looks like she did go to the hospital. Now of course I have to watch next week because I have to see what happens. I even looked ahead in the tv guide and read what the next few episodes are about and I know something bad happens in the next (assuming baby dies), and the one after that the girl refuses to leave her room for a week (assuming she's got some major grief and anger going on).
The page BabyLoss Mommas on Facebook even addressed this which I thought was interesting. This is what they posted, "Thank you to the writers of The Secret Life of the American Teenager for possibly opening the eyes of your viewers next week on the very heartbreaking, yet sadly common loss of a child....". I couldn't agree more that people need to be aware that it happens, that not every pregnancy has a happy ending. I read through all of the comments and someone posted that viewers of the show were saying that if the baby dies that they were even going to stop watching the show. Sorry to say peeps but that's reality, bad shit can happen to anyone. Not that I like hearing about a baby dying, even if its on a tv show, but I think it's important for the viewers to see this.
